NeelkanthMahadev Mandir

MuniKi Reti
Muni Ki Reti is a small town located closed to pilgrimage city Rishikesh. Literally 'Sands of the Sages', Muni Ki Reti is the home of several temples, asharams and Yoga centers, meditation and Ayurveda. On the banks of river Ganga, Muni ki Reti is considered the place where Sages (Muni) used to meditate.
Muni ki Reti is a traditional gateway of Char Dham pilgrimages in Uttarakhand. It also considered the same place where famous Indian King Bharat did penance. Earlier there were only some Asharams in Muni ki Reti such as Kailash Ashram, Swargashram, Shivananda Ashram but later on more Ashrams established in Muni ki Reti. Yoga and Meditation practitioners attracts to Ashrams in Muni ki Reti and after Ram Jhula construction, Muni ki Reti has easy accessibility.
BharatMandir
Bharat Mandir is an ancient temple of Lord Hrishikesh Narayan located at heart of the Rishikesh city in Uttarakhand. This temple is believed to be very old and most sacred temple in the city. A great Hindu saint Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya reinstalled the idol of presiding deity on Basant Panchmi in the temple in 789 AD.
Now every year on Basant Panchmi, a symbolic reinstallation is followed in the temple. On this occasion Shaligram is taken to nearby Mayakund for holy bath and then a grand procession is organize to take back the idol to the temple.
LakshmanJhula
The Lakshman Jhula is a famous hanging bridge across the river Ganga that connects two villages, Tapovan in the Tehri Garhwal district and Jonk in the Pauri Garhwal district. Located in the town Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, the entire bridge is made up of iron, is 450 feet long and is situated at the height of 70 feet from the river. Sadly, it has been closed permanently owing to the risk to the safety and security. A new glass bridge is set to come up adjacent to Lakshman Jhula. However, it is still used by pedestrians but bikes are strictly not allowed.
The Lakshman Jhula is well-known amongst tourists because it is believed that Lord Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama, had crossed the river Ganga at this same site.
RamJhula
Two kilometres away Rishikesh stands the beautiful iron suspension bridge called Ram Jhula at Muni-Ki-Reti. This significant landmark of Rishikesh was built in 1986 by PWD and is slightly bigger than Lakshman Jhula regarding length. Ram Jhula connects Shivanad Ashram (towards the east bank) and Swargashram (towards the west bank)
Previously it was a hanging jute ropeway, however, in 1980; a permanent iron suspension bridge was made by PWD, with the help of Shivananda Ashram. Often crowded with saints, sages and devotees, the Ram Jhula is also famed for attractions like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Swargashram, Yog Niketan, Beatles Ashram, etc. Food lovers should visit the food courts located nearby the Ram Jhula.
TriveniGhat
Triveni Ghat is a sacred ghat in Rishikesh famous for the Ganga Aarti. Triveni words comes from join of two words Tri (three) and Veni (confluence) meaning confluence of three. It is one of the biggest and must visit ghat of Rishikesh known for its auspicious and spiritual aroma.
Triveni Ghat is famous among pilgrims to take a holy dip in sacred river Ganga. Everyday Ganga Aarti is performed on the Triveni Ghat manage by Ganga Seva Samiti. One can participate at Ganga Aarti by contacting Ganga Seva Samiti by paying a nominal fee. Ganga Seva Samiti used this money for management of Triveni Ghat such as cleanliness, facilities, festivals etc.
Haridwar
The ancient city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand has been a major Hindu pilgrimage site for centuries. Located where the sacred River Ganga emerges from the base of the Himalayas, it’s considered one of the 7 Sapta Puri. The Kumbh Mela, which is held every 12 years, is also celebrated here.
